Summary
he objectives of the scoping trip will be to
1) refine the objectives with senior staff in KWS headquarters and their regional offices and develop a semi-quantitative scheme for prioritising the key species and study areas which will become the focus of data collection
2) elicit views and develop collaborative agreements with a wide range of existing projects and institutions with interests in the region including the Mpala research station, the Laikipia Wildlife Forum, the Northern Rangelands Trust, the Earthwatch Samburu Programme, University of Nairobi, the International Livestock Research Institute, other development projects
3) identify potential counterpart staff and training needs
